Practical teamwork matters – cooperation with Pan-European Network of Customs Practitioners

The kick-off meeting of the Pan-European Network of Customs Practitioners (PEN-CP) project was held in Thun, Switzerland, during 24-26 October 2018. PEN-CP is a 5-year H2020 project and one of the main objectives for the project are: derive and articulate common needs for customs security research, innovation and standardization; accelerate and building tangible synergies with existing European, global and national networks of security practitioners.

The PEN-CP intends to work in close cooperation with existing EU projects, networks and expert groups – CELBET being one of the key stakeholders for this project. During the PEN-CP kick-off meeting it was possible to present the CELBET activities and also the fields of the future cooperation, in a panel discussion. Five CELBET countries – namely Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary and Slovakia – participate in this project as partner countries, and Polish experts participated in the PEN-CP Advisory Board. testing new, innovative tools which support more effective customs controls;
