Form of the workshop, gave the participants the ability to work in groups and focuse on practical side of the training system. The added value was the fact that the trainers could exchange their ideas and experience during case studies and equipment testing.

Customs officers from Finland presented unique solution for training purposes: VR ( virtual reality) tool, that was going in line with the topic of occupational safety in X-ray operations.

Compared to conventional training, the advantages of VR training are its cost-effectiveness, versatility and endless possibilities for training customs control tasks. In a VR environment, challenging and even dangerous topics can be taught comprehensively without consequences; A mistake made in the VR world is a teachable moment, but the trainee is saved from possible harm caused by it.

The most central parts of VR training are the headset and handheld controllers. With the headset, the trainee moves to the VR world to perform the exercise, an immersive learning experience recreates real life settings and simulates work challenges.
