First meeting of BCP Network Nordic

Almost 30 representatives of customs services met on the first BCP Network Nordic region meeting that took place in Vilnius.

Customs representatives from Lithuania, Finland, Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Slovakia, Romania sat at one table on 16-17 th of October at the Customs Department of Lithuania.

The first BCP Network meeting was opened by the Head of CELBET Jyrki Linna. He highlighted the main objectives of the meeting: new ideas, places of interest, filling the needs, getting feedback and connecting officers working at the BCPs. He also stressed the meaning of the workshops and visit on the BCP as being crucial for the BCP Network members.

During the first day leaders of BCP Management & Evaluation, Inter-agency and 3 rd Country Co-operation and Operational Control Teams presented their outcomes and plans for the next activities.

Network members had chance to visit Salcininkai BCP on Lithuanian and Belarusian border.
